On October 18, Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (short as Zhiguang Electric) and Zhongyuan (Guangdong) Energy Development Co., Ltd. (short as  Zhongyuan Energy) celebrated a strategic cooperation agreement at the Zhiguang Comprehensive Energy Industrial Park. The ceremony was attended by Li Yongxi, Chairman and President of Zhiguang Electric, and Ling Ruichao, Chairman of Zhongyuan Energy, who witnessed the signing . Jiang Xinyu, Executive Vice President of Zhiguang Electric, and Zhou Jiefeng, General Manager of Zhongyuan Energy, signed the signing on behalf of respective companies.

At the meeting, Li Yongxi expressed gratitude to Zhongyuan Energy for their support to Zhiguang Electric. After briefly introducing the basic situation of Zhiguang Electric, he emphasized the desire for both parties to enhance communication and collaboration. He highlighted the potential for broader cooperation in new energy, comprehensive energy services, and joint construction of independent energy storage, aiming for resource integration, robust partnership, and mutual trust and benefit.

Ling Ruichao praised the development achievements and industrial layout of Zhiguang Electric, expressed confidence in the cooperation projects with Zhiguang Electric, and looked forward to this strategic agreement to broaden  cooperation, enhancing its value, and paving the way for a mutually beneficial future.

Both parties have agreed to cooperate on the New Intelligent Independent Energy Storage Project in Meizhou Pingyuan (short as the Meizhou Project), which is listed in Guangdong Province's Key Project Plan for 2024. In December 2023, it was listed in the Major Application Scenarios and Opportunities for Innovative Energy Storage in Guangdong Province . At stage I, both will jointly complete the standalone energy storage power station with 100MW/200MWh capacity.

Zhiguang Electric previously constructed a standalone energy storage power station in Qingyuan, Guangdong - a 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage power station on the Baimiao, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan, Guangdong. This station is operational and performing well. Meizhou project will further bolster the safety and stability of Meizhou power grid,  enhance new energy consumption, and contribute significantly to developing a new power system in Guangdong Province.

The construction of smart independent energy storage power stations in Qingyuan and Meizhou will invigorate Zhiguang Electric's new energy business. This agreement marks a comprehensive upgrade of the cooperative relationship between the two parties, maximizing their respective advantages, ensuring smooth project implementation, and fostering a robust partnership through deeper collaboration. Together, both aim to drive quality development of the energy storage industry.
